Where do classes take place?
With the exception of some outdoor workshops and youth classes, most classes
and workshops will take place at
1313 Boland Place in Richmond Heights
(near
Hwy. 40 and S. Hanley Road).
Please do not use this as the mailing address.
Our studio/classroom (located in a historical
brick school now owned by Metropolitan School) boasts of high ceilings, big
north windows and hardwood floors. It is very centrally located in a
culturally rich and diverse part of St. Louis. Not only are we situated
half way between the only two art stores in St. Louis (Dick Blick and
Artmart), we are minutes from the St. Louis Art Museum, the History Museum,
the Science Center, downtown St. Louis, downtown Clayton, galleries,
restaurants, parks, tons of shopping and the new Metrolink! We feel we can
serve a large number of diverse segments of our city as well as those coming
from out of town for workshops. Please call us with any questions about

entertainment info.) to our website soon.
Directions
Due to the construction, the best way to come is from Big Bend or Hanley Rd. Boland Place is off Dale Ave. on the south side of 40. Dale runs parallel to 40. Boland Place is half way between Hanley and Big Bend. The road ends at the construction. We are the only school building right at the construction. If you find Dale and Boland Place you can't go wrong. Call if you get lost. 636 346 4927.
FROM HIGHWAY 44
Exit at Laclede Station Road going NORTH. This turns into S. Hanley. Take a
RIGHT on Dale, before you hit Hwy 40. Take a left on Boland Place. Call
the Vermeer Academy phone number to have someone open the door.
